Final of Austrian State Prize Marketing 2013 [May 22, 2013]

Neue Wiener Werkstaette with its new design prize for creative interior-design, is  nominated for the Austrian State Prize for Marketing 2013.

The awarding will take place on 3rd of June, 2013 by federal minister Reinhold Mitterlehner in Vienna.

Work-show of Johanna Dehio / Hockerbank [May 13, 2013]

In 2012, the Hockerbank of the designer Johanna Dehio won the 3rd prize with the NWW Design Award and can be seen currently on some exhibitions: Among others, with a "work-show" in the window gallery, curated by Vienna design Week, Johanna Dehio shows studio- and production-prototypes.

The work-show "Assemblage" introduces subjects with which Johanna Dehio deals in her work: different aspects of improvisation are always impulse and inspiration for her projects. She sketches objects which are characterised at a functional level by open and accessible systems.

Successful cooperation with pupils of the HTBLVA Graz-Ortweinschule for Kunst & Design with Neue Wiener Werkstaette

Successful school-project of the HTBLVA Graz-Ortwein and Neue Wiener Werkstaette: The young creatives developed innovative ideas and concepts for an exhibition draught for the planned travelling exhibition of the NWW Design Award.

Travelling Exhibition of the NWW Design Award [Mar 6, 2013]

The three winners of the NWW Design Award were already awarded within the scope of the Vienna Design Week in September 2012. After the production of the prototypes by Neue Wiener Werkstaette, the projects will be presented in an international travelling exhibition.

NWW presents „Hockerbank“ in Paris [Jan 14, 2013]

The „Hockerbank“ by the German designer Johanna Dehio was certified with the NWW Design Award and will now be presented be within the scope of the fair Maison & Objet 2013 in Paris - for the first time in the case of the travelling exhibition. As a gallery edition in trendy colours the „Hockerbank“ is produced by NWW. Exhibition starting from Saturday 19th of January 2013 the Gallery S. Bensimon  in Paris.

Winners 2012 in production [Nov 21, 2012]

The winner's projects 2012 "mobile hospitality kitchen", "Donald" and "Hockerbank" are produced currently by Neue Wiener Werkstaette - in an intensive cooperation with the designers. Numerous talks about the product development preceded the prototype production.

In the next two years, kitchen, Donald and Hockerbank get on a circulating exhibition. Planned stations are the furniture fair Milan in April, designforum Styria, the NWW showroom Vienna, IMM Cologne 2014 and numerous other international exhibitions.

The winners 2012 have been declared! [Oct 31, 2012]

During the Vienna Design Week 2012, the initiator Stefan Polzhofer, and the chairman of the jury Vito Acconci, publicly presented the three winning designs in the magnificent rooms of the Kursalon Vienna. The presentation of the NWW Design Award 2012 shortlist offered an exciting insight into the ideas workshops of the young designer scene. The award ceremony was moderated by the Head of the ORF-TV Culture Section, Martin Traxl. The success of the new initiative was celebrated with 450 guests until the early hours of the next day at the After-Award Party.

Launch of the NWW DESIGN AWARD 2012 [Mar 30, 2012]

This is the first time Neue Wiener Werkstätte invites participants to the NWW Design Award. With this prize for innovative interior design, Neue Wiener Werkstätte has created an award that searches for trends and creative potential in close co-operation with cultural and educational institutions.
 
Entries are accepted under www.nwwdesignaward.org with immediate effect. All national and international designers, architects, interior designers and up-and-coming designers who are interested in presenting their outstanding designs for furniture and upholstered furniture are invited to participate.
